A man was killed as a truck ran over him at Baria on Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Gobindaganj upazila on Wednesday morning. Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. Officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj Police Station Mojammel Haque said a speeding truck ran over the man, aged about 30.
in the area while he was crossing the road around 1pm, leaving him dead on the spot.
Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Gaibandha Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
