UNB, Bhola :
A man and his brother-in-law were stabbed to death allegedly by his elder brother at Bapta Bhoterghar area in Sadar upazila on Sunday night over land related dispute.
The deceased were identified as Masum and his brother-in-law Jahid. Sagir Miah, officer-in-charge of Bhola sadar Police Station,
said there had been a longstanding dispute between two brothers- Masum and Mamun- over a piece of land. As a sequel to the enmity, Mamun attacked Masum on a bridge in the area around 11:30pm and hacked him indiscriminately. He also hacked Jahid when he came to save Masum, leaving him critically injured. Later, the injured were rushed to Bhola Sadar Hospital where doctors declared the duo dead.
Meanwhile, police arrested Mamun’s two sons- Sharif and Arif- in connection with the murder but Mamun managed to flee.
