Uncle has been arrested by RAB-14 for raping her cousin’s three and a half year old daughter. The incident took place at Rampur Charia village of Mymensingh district’s Tarakanda police station on October 4. On the day of the incident, uncle Jahangir Alam (20) at his house raped her. Immediately after the incident, the child cried and told her mother everything. When the child started crying in pain at night, she called a doctor of a drug store in Charia Bazar and gave first aid and informed Hashim Uddin, the father of the rapist Jahangir, the next day on October 5, but he did not take the matter seriously. On October 6, the child’s mother filed a rape case with the Tarakanda police station. Case No. 3. Section 9 (1) of the Prevention of Violence against Women and Children Act, 2000 (Amendment 2003). As the incident was sensitive, RAB-14 along with Tarakanda police station started investigation. Today (October 8) at 6 am, the rapist Jahangir was arrested from Madhupur in Tangail district. Its (RAB-14) captain Lt. Col. Iftekhar Uddin revealed the details at a press conference. In the initial interrogation, Jahangir confessed to the rape, said the RAB-14 captain. He said the process of handing over Jahangir to Tarakanda police station was underway.
