A joint team of the army and police detained a suspected accused for his involvement in army man Md Nasim murder from Poitupara area of Gainda union in Rajasthali Upazila of Rangamati on Thursday morning.
The arrestee was identified as Kriuching Marma, 20, son of Priyopru Marma of Majhe-rpara village of Sowalok union under Thanchi upazila of Bandarban.
Acting on a tip off, a team of the army and police arrested Kriuching from the remote place of the Majherpara village and handed him over to the Rajasthali Police Station, the sources said.
Confirming the incident, Rajasthali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Fazle Ahmmed Khan said, “Legal action will be taken against the arrestee if he found involved in army man Md Nasim murder.” Nasim, 19, a soldier of Bangladesh Army, was killed while a group of terrorists opened fire on an army patrol team at Poitumukh in Rajasthali Upazila of Rangamati on August 18.
