Ekushey Padak (2011) and National Film Award winning noted actor and play director Mamunur Rashid has now become engaged with acting in movies rather than previous times. He is going to perform in five new movies this year.
These five movies are: Goutam Ghosh’s Shonkhochil, Rawshan Ara Nipa’s Mohua Mongal, Akram Khan’s Khancha, Himel Ashraf’s Sultana Bibiana and Rashid Polash’s Naiyor. He will perform in different roles in these movies.
But in Himel Ashraf’s Sultana Bibiana, Mamunur Rashid will again perform in role of a villain.
While talking about these movies Mamunur Rashid told this correspondent, “Basically in 2008, I became regular in acting in big screen by Gias Uddin Selim’s Monpura. I also got the National Film Award for this movie. Later, I also acted in several other movies. Now I am trying to be regular in movies. In fact, after getting my liking role then I agree to work in movie. In these new five movies, viewers will watch me in different roles. I believe viewers will enjoy my performances in these movies.”
It may be mentioned that on April 4, Mamunur Rashid received the National Film Award 2013 in category of Best Villain for Gazi Rakayet’s movie Mrittika Maya.
