Former captain of Bangladesh Football team Mamunul Islam Mamun left the coaching camp due to injury. Defender Tutul Hossain Badsha also left the coaching camp due to illness.
Mamunul Islam got injury in his hand when he was taking part in the practice session at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday last. He underwent surgery on Wednesday. His wrist was fractured, according to the X-ray report. So, the midfielder cannot take part in the FIFA friendly matches against Nepal on November 13 and November 17.
Mamunul said, ” After getting pain in my wrist I took part in the practice sessions. But as my wrist was fractured, the physician advised me to take three-week rest.”
Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Jamie day also confirmed the injury of Mamunul Islam Mamun. Jamie said, ” Mamunul’s wrist was fractured. So, he cannot participate in the upcoming matches. So, I have to think about my squad without him.”
Meanwhile, defender Tutul Hossain Badsha left the coaching camp as he has been suffering from illness for some days. He left the coaching camp after getting permission of Jamie Day. He cannot compete in the forthcoming FIFA friendly matches.
