Mamunul sent to jail after 18-day remand

Hefazat-e-Islam leader Mamunul Haque has been sent to Kashimpur jail after ending his 18-day remand in six separate cases.
Narayanganj court police’s inspector Asaduzzaman said Judicial Magistrate Kawsar Alam ordered to send the Hefazat leader to prison after hearing on the cases at 11am on Saturday.
Earlier this morning, Mamunul Haque was produced in the court amid tight security measure.
Of the six cases filed against the Hefazat leader,
three were lodged by the district police, two by CID while the rest one was by PBI.
PBI’s superintendent of Narayanganj police Mohammad Monirul Islam said Mamunul gave some important information confessing his guilt.
Lastly on June 2, Mamunul was placed on a three-day remand in Police Bureau of Investigation or PBI’s case.
He was arrested from Jamiya Rahmania Madrasa at Mohammadpur in the capital on April 18.
