Jakia Bari Mamo is a versatile actress of the small screen now who started her career in showbiz through winning the crown of Lux-Channel i Superstar. She is a full-fledged actress at all. “I can strongly say that now actress like Mamo needs our TV play arena. She is a true actress who has come into this position through devotion to acting,” says noted play director Sagor Jahan while working Mamo in his two special dramas on the occasion of coming Pahela Boishakh.
Director Sagor Jahan has been engaged with making two dramas – Ek Boishakhi Bhorey and Bonolota O Jonakir Golpo at Pubail in Gazipur from February 28 to till date. Mosharraf Karim is acting against Mamo in these two plays.
While talking about stories of these two dramas director Sagor Jahan informed that in Ek Boishakhi Bhorey without Rupa (Mamo)’s concern her family wanted to arrange marriage with an old aged person. But Rupa did not to marry him and tried to fly with her boyfriend. Suddenly she meets CNG driver named Shahin (Mosharraf). Story of the play continues. In another play Bonolota O Jonakir Golpo, Jonaki (Mamo) came to her maternal grandmother’s house in a village. She met an educated person named Tomal (Mosharraf). Then she wants to pass rest of her life in village with Tomal to educate the young generation. Tomal had a girlfriend named Bonolota. After getting Jonaki, Tomal found showdown of her girlfriend in Jonaki. Story continues by own way. These two plays will be telecasted in two separate TV channels on Pahela Boishakh.
While talking about acting in these two plays Mamo said, “Sagor Jahan Bhai is one of my favourite playwrights and directors. I like not only his written story but also his direction. He works in organised way. Under his direction I last worked in a play titled Mim Beauty & Fashion, which yet not telecasted. Stories of these two Boishakhi plays are really nice and as co-actor, Mosharraf Karim is really co-operative.”
