The Maldives will take on Cambodia in the 4th Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football Tournament at Shams-Ul-Huda Stadium in Jessore today (Monday). Both the visiting sides will begin their campaign in the tournament with the last Jessore venue match beginning at 2:45pm.Maldives head coach Ricki Lioyd Herbert is hopeful that his young booters will play well tomorrow (Monday) against the experienced Cambodian national side. Mentioning that the Cambodia are a strong opponent, the coach said, “Our first target is to play well with our young players as we want to qualify for the semifinal.”Cambodia team manager Chhaing Pisedth also expressed optimism to qualify for the semifinal of the prestigious tournament playing match by match. C Pisedth said, “Our target is to reach semifinal… we’ll play match by match and we’ve good national players to play their best.” Ricki Lioyd Herbert and Chhaing Pisedth were addressing a pre-match press conference at the Shams-Ul-Huda Stadium on Sunday.
