A three-day Malaysian trade expo will begin in Dhaka from December 9.
The Malaysian Association of Indian Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals, known as WiE, and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), are jointly organizing the event to be held at Lakeshore Hotel.
A number of business firms from Malaysia, Singapore, Bangladesh and some other Asian countries will participate in the event.
“We are confident that Malaysian entrepreneurs
participating in this generic marketing mission would benefit tremendously from a huge market of possibilities with a Bangladeshi population of 160 million,” WiE President Swapna Das told The New Nation on Sunday.
She added, “The principal objective of the event is to propel global strategic entrepreneurship by growing the bilateral trade between the two countries to tap into potential markets and industries.”
WiE is a non-profit network of women entrepreneurs and professionals.
Swapna Das was confident that Malaysian entrepreneurs participating in this generic marketing mission would benefit tremendously from a huge market of possibilities with a Bangladeshi population of 160 million in comparison to Malaysia’s 30 million population. The expo will remain open for visitors from 5pm to 9pm.
