Malaysia blow away Fiji 11-1 in WHL round 2

Tournament favorite Malaysia finished their group on top with a thumping 11-1 goals victory over Fiji in the Hockey World League round 2 held on Tuesday at Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium.
Fiji player was no answer to the Malaysian dominance as the favourite made a mince meat of their defense displaying an exciting brand of hockey.
The main architects behind Malaysian drubbing were Sabah Shahril and Sari Fitri. In the day’s match, Sabah Shahril slammed four goals while Sari Fitri slotted three goals for the winners’.
Besides, Baharam Rashid struck twice while Rahim and Ahmed Tenku netted one goal each to join the goal rush for Malaysia.
Earlier, Malaysia beat Bangladesh by 3-0 goals in their group opening match and then defeated Oman by 6-1 goals in their second match.
