Making poverty-free Bangladesh main goal of govt: Farhad

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain on Sunday said that the main goal of the present government is to make Bangladesh a poverty-free country and to establish rule of law.
“And to achieve the goal successfully, the civil service officials will have to be made skillful,” Farhad Hossain said while addressing the 69th Foundation Training Course and Certificates Distribution Ceremony at Savar Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC) as the chief guest.
The state minister said the present government has taken massive plan to make the country a developed one for the welfare of the people under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
“Making the country a poverty-free one by ensuring rule of law in the country is main goal of the present government. To achieve the goal, civil service officials will have to be skillful to play important role in this regard,” he said.
Farhad said, “Role of the newly appointed civil service officials is vital to implement the government’s policies and plans. So, the government officials will have to improve their professional knowledge and skills.”
And to develop their knowledge, there is no alternative to arrange standard training for the officials, the state minister said.
He also urged the newly appointed officials to work for the welfare of the people as they work at the field level. BPATC Rector M Rakib Hossain, NDC, presided over the programme, while Public Administration Secretary Fayez Ahmed, among others, spoke.
