Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury yesterday urged all to work together to ensure safety and happiness for every mother and asked all to say no to all types of repression towards them.
“Let’s make a happy world for them stopping all kinds of repression … Let’s work together to make their lives more beautiful, more protected and safer,” she said.
She was speaking as chief guest at an award giving ceremony – Azad Products Ratnagarva Ma Award-2015 – at Dhaka Club auditorium in the city. The Speaker urged all to perform their duty towards mothers removing all the problems they face and bring back their smile so that every mother can find a dignified position in the society, which is a must for building a decent and peaceful society. President of Dhaka Club Limited Syed Shahed Reza, Chairman and Managing Director of Azad Products Limited Abul Kalam Azad, Chief Executive Officer of Rtv Syed Ashik Rahman, actor Enamul Haque, Lucky Enam, Roeya Prachi also spoke among others.
Azad Products Ratnagarva Ma award is being given to those mothers every year who have given birth to at least 3 children and the children are graduates and are well established.
Appreciating the initiative taken by the Azad Products the speakers expressed their hope that such initiative to honour mothers would spread in every part of the country and mothers would be inspired to nurture their children more appropriately. Later, the guests handed over awards to 34 ‘Ratnagarva Ma’ in two categories.
