The new edition of Bangladesh Bank history book named `Bangladesh Banker Etihash’ was published in March 2019. Three photographs of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman included in the new edition. But, three major mistakes were seen at a caption of a rare photo of Bangabandhu in the Page of 127 of the BB’s history book.
In the year of 1972, on that day, no currency notes were handed over to Bangabandhu at Ganobhaban. The first currency notes handing over ceremony was held on September 13, 1973, Thursday. Major spelling mistakes in the caption mentioned the name of first Governor. The correct spelling is A. N. Hamid Ullah, but it mentioned A. N. M. Hamidullah. The bank notes that printed below the photo were also not the first bank notes of Bangladesh. The first currency notes printed with portrait of Bangabandhu and map of Bangladesh in the front side.
Not only a photo caption, but remarkable banking progress of Bangabandhu Government also not included in the book.
