The main accused in the case of the Sitakunda Press Club attack in Chittagong was arrested early yesterday.
The arrestee is Daud Samrat , 28, of Sitakunda upazila and involved with local Jubo League politics, said local sources.
On December 27, a group of miscreants led by Samrat attacked Sitakunda Press Club during a press conference of Awami League rebel candidate Nayek Shafiul Alam before the municipal elections, leaving ten journalists critically injured.
Later, the club president lodged a case in this regard.
Earlier, Mir Jafar and Amzad Hossain were arrested.
