Maimuna Momo’s two govt-grant movies

In August 2016, Shirshendu Biswas, a then fourth grader at Patuakhali Govt Jubilee High School, wrote a letter to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, requesting her to have
a bridge built on the river in Patuakhali’s Mirzaganj Upazila. The Prime Minister gave reply of the letter. Based on the incident, a government-grant movie titled Payrar Chithi has been made by Nishith Surjo. Promising actress of present generation Maimuna Ferdous Momo acted in role of that little boy’s mother in the movie.
According to Momo, she is very much excited to work in the film because story of the movie revolves with a little boy who wrote a letter to the Prime Minister. Momo has already finished dubbing of the film. Therefore, she also finished shooting of another government-grant movie titled Ajob Karkhana, directed by Shabnam Ferdousi.
Momo played the role of Kolkata’s popular actor Parambrata’s wife in the movie.
Maimuna Momo has been engaged with acting for few years. But she got the opportunity to work in two government-grant movies. She said it is a great achievement for her little acting career. While talking in this regard Maimuna Momo said, “As the story of Payrar Chithi is based on a letter written to the Prime Minister I am very much excited to work in this movie. I give thanks to director of the film to give me the scope to act in this movie. Now I am really very much eager to watch the movie in the big screen. Story of Ajob Karkhana is also nice. In a word, stories of both these movies are really nice. But due to corona pandemic, these movies do not get the release date now. I believe these two movies will be released within next year.” Maimuna Momo started her career in media as a radio jockey (RJ) in Peoples Radio in 2015. Later, she also worked as RJ in Radio Today and Radio Swadhin. In visual media, she first performed in a TV commercial of Radhuni directed by Mostafa Sarwar Farooki. She also acted in a drama Rabeya under same director’s direction where Chanchal Chowdhury and Nusrat Imrose Tisha were her co-actors. Momo also said she has already finished shooting Shahid-Un-Nabi’s Eid drama Fake Book, which will be aired on Maasranga TV in coming Eid. Therefore, she has been engaged with acting in Deepto TV’s ongoing serial Mashrafe Junior in role of Notu. Momo also joined in new sports channel, T Sports where she is anchoring different sports related shows.
