Legendary singer Mahmudunnabi’s both birth and death dates are in month of December. He died on December 20 in 1990. But his songs are still alive in hearts of many music lovers. They still love his songs. New generations are also listening his songs. Children of the late singer have also established their positions in the country’s music arena.
To pay tribute to their father, four children of Mahmudunnabi – Fahmida Nabi, Samina Chowdhury, Tanjida Nabi and Pancham Nabi will render songs of their father in a special programme titled ‘Surer Aynai,’ which will be aired on Banglavision today at 5:45pm. They will also recall the memories of their father in the programme.
Meanwhile, they will also render songs in a live show on Desh TV at 11:45pm on that day.
While sharing her feelings in this regard Fahmida Nabi told this correspondent, “It is really a liking matter that new generation will be able to listen my father’s songs. Not only this many singers are showing their keen interest to render my father’s songs while their performances either on stage or TV shows now. We are really felt proud of him. He will alive for long time among alls by his songs. I give thanks to the two channels to arrange such programmes.”
Samina Chowdhury shared her feelings by this way, “Every year Channel i, Desh TV and Banglavision pay tribute to my father. In the beginning of Channel i Ezaz Khan Swapan made a documentary on him. I request the viewers to watch these programmes.”
