Mahmudullah Riyad will play for Jamaica Tallawahs in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in West Indies. Riyad was dropped from the Bangladesh National Cricket team against Australia National Cricket team in the first Test.
Earlier, Shakib Al Hasan played for Jamaica Tallawahs in CPL 2017. But he returned home as he has been called for the Test squad of Bangladesh against Australia.
Riyad submitted a letter of No Objection Certificate (NOC) to BCB on Sunday. If he gets the NOC from BCB, Riyad will leave the city for West Indies tomorrow.
If everything goes well Mahmudullah Riyad will play for Jamaica Tallawahs against Saint Lucia Stars in CPL on Friday.
The final of CPL will be held in Trinidad Tobago on September 9. If Jamaica Tallawahs reach the final and if Riyad will not be called by BCB for the second Test against Australia, Mahmudullah will return home after the final.
Before taking part in CPL, Mahmudullah Riyad played in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
