Mahmudullah Riyad left the city on Monday night for West Indies to take part in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Riyad will play for Jamaica Tallawahs in CPL.
Riyad was dropped in the 14-member squad of Bangladesh Cricket team for the first Test against Australia.
Earlier, Shakib Al Hasan played for Jamaica Tallawahs in the ongoing CPL 2017. But later, he was called by BCB to play for Bangladesh against Australia in the upcoming two-Test series. Then Shakib Al Hasan returned home and joined the practice camp of Bangladesh National Cricket team.
It may be mentioned that Mehedi Hasan Miraz was called by Trinbago Knight Riders to play in CPL. But Miraz was also called by BCB in the 14-member squad of Bangladesh Cricket team for the first Test against the visiting Aussies.
Jamaica Tallawahs will play against Saint Lucia Stars in their CPL match on Friday. Riyad may play in that match wearing the jersey of Jamaica Tallawahs.
