After Bangladesh Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah made the record of becoming second batsman to score 1000 runs in franchise based tournament Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
On Friday, he scored 40 runs against Comilla Victorians to grab the record.
Mahmudullah made the record in the fourth edition of the tournament and he is leading Khulna Titans in this season’s BPL.
Mahmudullah came to the pitch with 971 runs and needed 29 runs to enter the 1000 club. He achieved 1011 runs with four half centuries from 48 matches including 78 fours and 31 sixes.
Riding on his unbeaten 40 runs on the day’s match, Khulna Titans attained a decent total of 141 against Comilla Victorians.
Earlier, Mushfiqur Rahim became the first batsman to score 1000 runs in this season BPL.
