Shaheen Mahmud has been elected new chairman of Jamuna Bank Limited, says a press release.
The Board of Directors of Jamuna Bank Limited in its 241st meeting held on Sunday elected him Chairman of the board. Shaheen is a chairman of Cotton Group. He set up a number of RMG, Telecom and Real Estate business institutions with related manufacturing units and backward linkages.
He is a successful RMG exporter and earned reputation globally. In recognition of his contribution in export, Bangladesh government awarded him an export trophy and conferred him CIP status. He represented Bangladesh in a member of business delegations across Europe and Far-East.
Shaheen Mahmud has been elected Vice Chairman of Korea-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KBCCI). He was Senior Vice President of Usha Krira Chakra and also served the Bangladesh Hockey Federation as its Senior Vice President for 12 years.
