Popular film actress Mahiya Mahi
has reunited with director Iftakhar Chowdhury for his debut web film titled Driver. She will be seen portraying the
role of a film star in the web film. Popular actors Mosharraf Karim and Aman Reza are co-starring her in this
web film. Director Iftakhar Chowdhury told this correspondent that shooting
of Driver has already started from November 2 in Manikganj. He said, “We have planned to shoot the web film in
different locations including in the capital’s Uttara area. I believe we will
complete the shoot within December.” Basically Driver is a revenge thriller story based web film. The whole story revolves around Mosharraf Karim who is playing the role of a driver in the web film. On the other hand, Mahiya Mahi is playing the role of a film star named Shehnaz who rides Mosharraf Karim’s car. Aman Reza is playing a negative role who will be romantically involved with Mahiya Mahi. While talking about casting in the web film Driver, director Iftakhar said, “I had plannned to work with Mosharraf Karim in 2015, but for some reasons, I couldn’t
get the scope to work with him. After six years, I am working with him in my web film and it is a great experience. He is a fantastic actor and a lovely human being. And Mahiya Mahi has changed herself as an actress. She is completely different actress now. At present, she has developed her acting skill. Overall, it is a great experience to work as a team with them.” Mahiya Mahi earlier worked with Iftekhar Chowdhury in two hit movies – Agni and Agni-2. The web film is slated to release on live streaming app, Bioscope in December.
