Rumours were circulating about Mahiya Mahi expecting a child after she came back from Umrah.
The actress tied the knot with businessman Kamruzzaman last year. She was unreachable for quite some time, and absent during the promotions of many of her projects. Even producers and directors were unable to reach her.
Mahi also backed out from a number of films, including Chayanika Chowdhury’s Kagojer Bou, among others.
The actress finally broke her silence on the matter, refuting rumours about her pregnancy.
According to reports, she is set to open a restaurant named Farishta in Gazipur. She is also shooting for director Badiul Alam’s movie, Officer, opposite DA Tayeb.
