Mahbub Alam of Bangladesh earned bronze medal in the Boys 57 kgs cetegory of the First Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championship that concluded on Friday at the Iranian capital Tehran. Mahbub, a class VIII student from Daudkandi, shared the event’s bronze medal with hosts Iranian wrestler beating his Pakistani rival. Japan clinched the event’s gold and India earned the silver in the competition, participated by nine countries. Promising wrestler Mahbub Alam was picked in 2017 during telent hunt program of National Sports Council.
