The by-election to Magura-1 constituency will be held on May 30. Election secretary Sirazul Islam announced the poll schedule at a press briefing at the Election Commission Secretariat on Monday.
According to the schedule, the deadline for submission of nomination papers is April 30 while the nomination papers will be scrutinised on May 4 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is on May 12.
The seat (Sadar-Sreepur) fell vacant following the death of MP Dr Muhammad Serajul Akbar on March 9.
