Magnum Cricketers maintained their all-wins run top slot beating Indira Road Krira Chakra by 5 wickets in a match of the Dhaka Metropolis First Division Cricket League at BKSP ground 3, Savar on Saturday.
In the day’s match, batting first after winning the toss, Indira Road KC scored 227 runs all out in stipulated 50 overs.
Skipper Papai Shikdar scored team highest 75 runs off 100 balls with eight fours while number three Sazzadul Haque scored 71 runs off 107 balls that featured eight fours.
Afsharul Diner grabbed three wickets for 44 runs while Mehedi Hasan and Ali Akbar took two wickets each for 25 and 42 runs respectively.
Chasing 228 runs, Magnum Cricketers reached the target for 5 in 39.5 overs.
Mehedi Hasan pairing with Aslam Ali contributed 147 runs in 23.2 overs in the third wicket stand.
Number three Mehedi Hasan scored team highest 81 runs off 69 balls with 11 fours and a six while number four Aslam Ali scored 65 off 79 balls with eight fours.
Meanwhile, in the days’ other matches, Uttara Sporting Club won by 78 runs against Khelaghar SKS at BKSP ground 4 while Surjo Tarun defeated Young Pegasus by 3 wickets at Jahangirnagar University ground while Rapid Foundation beat Agrani Bank Cricket Club by 60 runs at Fatullah Outer Stadium and Dhanmondi Pragati Sangha beat Eskaton Sabuj Sangha by 1 wicket at Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium.
