Bangladesh Chhatra League , City Unit and its different units formed human chain on Thursday in front of Chittagong court building and Jamal Khan Press Club demanding immediate release convicted Chhatra League leader Nurul Azim Roni and removal of the trial magistrate of mobile court Md. Harunur Rashid from Chittagong.
School Chhatra League Unit formed human chain in Jamal Khan area with Safayet Fahim in the chair. Mohanagar Chatra league leaders Yasin Arafat Kochi, Rubel Barua and Nazimuddin were in the human chain.
Meanwhile city Chhatra League unit staged demonstration followed by human chain in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office in Chittagong court building for about one hour demanding immediate removal of the trial magistrate of mobile who convicted the city BCL leader Roni with jail term for allegedly accused of carrying arms in the UP polling centre in Hathazari recently. President of Chhatra League, City Unit Imran Ahmed Imu also spoke in the demonstration rally.
The Chhatra League leaders gave ultimatum to DC Chittagong to remove the magistrate within 24 hours from Chittagong otherwise tougher movement will be launched.
