Police have arrested Vice-Principal in Jamia Arabia Darus Sunnah Madrasha and main khatib in Karimganj Upazila Parishad mosque for raping its madrasha student. The arrested Vice-Principal Moulona Noor Mohamad Azmi (60) is son of late MD Abul Hossion.
A five-day remand application was sent to the CJM Court on Monday showing the arrest in the case filed after the arrest on Sunday evening. Similar allegations have been made against the eloquent Islamic speaker Moulona Noor Mohamad Azmi.
Last Thursday, when the guardian of madrasha student complained to Karimganj UNO and Executive Magistrate, UNO investigated the matter.
According to the complaint, when Vice -Principal Maulona Noor Mohamad Azmi brutally tortured the child (11), he told the story to his guardian.
Later, the victim’s father filed a case with Karimganj Police Station on Sunday evening
Karimganj Police Station Officer-in-charge (OC) Mominul Islam confirmed this matter to the New Nation.
