A madrasa teacher was arrested from Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh district Saturday night on charge of abusing a male student sexually.
Arrested Mahmudul Hasan,24,son of Shukur Mahmud of Urahati village of Hossainpur thana is a teacher of Ragaichoti Hifjul Quran Madrasa in the upazila.
Gafargaon thana officer in charge Mohammad Abdul Ahad Khan confirmed the matter.
The teacher called the student on the madrasa roof on (7 August) Wednesday night and sexually abuse him. He has done this before quoting family members and locals, the Police official said.
Later, the victim’s Grandfather lodged a case against Mahmudul Hasan in this connection.
