Suspected killer of Madrasa student Zidan yesterday gave confessional before a Dhaka court admitting his involvement in the murder.
Magistrate Amirul Haider Chowhury of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka recorded the confessional statement of Md Abu Bakr and later landed in the jail. Earlier, SI Rezaul Karim, Investigation Officer of the case and a Sub-Inspector of Paltan Police Station produced the accused in the court to record his confessional statement.
Police recovered the dead body of Zidan from the septic tank of Madinatul Ulum Hafizia Madrasa at Gulistan in the city on Monday morning. It is presumed that the victim was killed on Sunday night. Later, RAB-3 arrested Bakr from Sadarghat area on Wednesday morning in connection with the murder. The killer and the victim were class-friends.
The victim was a son of Hafiz Uddin of Gafargaon in the Mymensingh district.
