A madrasa girl of Faridganj Upazila was beaten up and seriously injured by two eve-teasers who were at once caught hold of by the locals at Gridokalindiya area in front of Gridokalindiya Degree College, Faridganj Upazila on Faridganj- Roypur Regional Highway.
The incident took place when the girl was going to attend classes at her madrasa on Thursday.
The victim girl was identified as Amena Akter,16, a class x student, of the local Mohammadia Mohila Madrasa.
When she was walking to madrasa in the morning, she was intercepted by the eve teasers on the way in front of the Degree College. An altercation took place and at one stage she was beaten up and seriously injured on the road by the eve teasers named Parvez Hossain,16, and Ridoy,16, both class x students of Gridokalindiya High School. Observing it, locals rushed and rescued the girl and caught hold of both the eve teasers who were later handed over to Faridganj Thana Police.
