M. Shahidul Islam joined at Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) as Additional Managing Director on 20 June 2017. Prior, he was the Additional Managing Director of United Commercial Bank Limited, said a press release.
M. Shahidul Islam has over 33 years of experience in the Banking Industry. He served in National Bank Ltd. for 14 years in his different capacities. He joined at Prime Bank Limited in 1997 and served there 11 years in different higher positions with strong leadership and dignity. After that he joined at UCBL in 2008 as Deputy Managing Director and promoted as Additional Managing Director in United Commercial Bank Limited on 01st March 2011. He has gathered vast experience in almost every key area of banking like Corporate Credit, SME Credit, Foreign Trade, Consumer Banking, Credit Risk Management, Foreign Investment as well as Treasury.
