Customs Intelligence on Wednesday seized a Mercedes X class Car worth Tk 1 crore from a garage of Mirpur area in the city.
Tipped off, a team of Customs Intelligence in the afternoon raided a house named Glorious Mortuza at 213 West Shawrapara
Road area in Mirpur and found the luxurious car hidden in the garage.
It was imported in the name of UK expat Hossain Soliaman, said a press release.
On May 2, 2010 using the Carnet D-passage facility the car was imported.
The car was hidden in the garage to avoid Customs drive against such luxurious cars.
The agency has moved the seized car at its head office and taken legal action according to the Customs law.
