Dhaka University (DU) has awarded ‘Advocate Md Lutfur Rahman Memorial Trust Fund Scholarship-2013’ to Sujan Shuri, Nusrat Jahan Mukta and Md Abu Bakar Siddique of the Department of Law of the University for their brilliant academic achievement at a simple ceremony held at the office of the Vice-Chancellor on Sunday.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique distributed the awards as Chief Guest. Chairperson of the Department of Law Prof Dr Shahnaz Huda presided over the function while it was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Law Prof Dr Taslima Mansur, among others.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique in his speech congratulated the students for receiving such a prestigious award. He mentioned that this noble initiative would encourage and inspire poor and meritorious students like the awardees to concentrate on their studies and contribute for the advancement of law profession in the country.
