LPG cylinders sold illegally in Dakshin Surma

Unapproved shops have been selling fuel and gas cylinders by Moglabazar roadside at vDakshin Surma Upazila in Sylhet. Passerby and local residents fear fatal accidents that could occur any time by such inflammable items. Also the miscreants could procure fuel from these shops to commit acts by flouting government rules.
More than 8 such outlets have been set by the side of Sylhet-Fenchugonj, Sylhet-Dhaka highways in Sylhet. The commodities are also being sold at several other places are selling varied unapproved fuel and gas cylinders of Dakshin Surma upazila. Most of these outlets stand next to roads, footpaths and populated road side.
Local people said, small investments and handsome profits have prompted the starting of this illegal business. The shops are being run with a great risk and fatal accidents could occur at any time.
Truck driver Fazlu, Kalam, Suhel and many motor cycle owners said, the patrol sold by these outlets damaged the engine. Pic-Up van driver Sumon and Sujon said petrol sold by these outlets, we’re compelled to buy adulterated and under weight.
Rajon Enterprise’s owner Rajon Ahmed said that, ‘I have been selling gas cylinders legally through a trade license with a fulminating license for the last twenty years. I am the sole distributor of Bashun-dhara LP gas upazila.’
However, many trades’ folk have been LP gas cylinders of various companies freely and illegally sold in the upazila area. Namely Bashundhara, Omera, G-Gas, Sena LPG, Orion, Jamuna, cline hit, Total are mentionable.
Dibaratri Filling stations proprietor Humaun said, petrol is being sold illegally everywhere. So that incurring losses due to illegal trading of petrol and gas.
Dakshin Surma upazila nirvahi officer Shahed Mostafa said, very fast could be taken as required these mater.
