Low pressure in the sea can turn into depression

A low pressure created in the southeastern Bay of Bengal and the adjacent equatorial Indian Ocean region has turned into a clear depression.
 It may move further north-northeast after more condensing and to turn as depression. The meteorological department has instructed the seaport authorities to be careful in this situation.
Besides, the authorities concerned of the Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to remain caution for further instructions, sources in the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) told The New Nation on Saturday.
Meteorologist AKM Nazmul Haque said that the weather could be dry across the country and day and night temperatures can remain almost unchanged.
The weather across the country may remain dry, he further said, adding that mild heat wave is sweeping over Chattogram’s Sandwip and Sitakunda upazilas, including Dhaka, Tangail, Faridpur, Gopalganj, Rangamati, Feni, Chandpur, Sylhet, Pabna, Rajshahi and Bogura districts, Khulna and Barishal divisions.
The authorities of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to monitor the situation carefully for further instructions. Fishing boats and trawlers stationed in the North Bay of Bengal suggested to operate their vessels with caution and not to move in the deep sea.
