Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country. The maximum temperature in Bangladesh on Friday was recorded 37 degrees Celsius in Rangamati as a heat wave continues to scorch the country for three days.
In Dhaka, mercury rose as high as to 36.2 degrees Celsius. The Met Office says the temperature started to drop slightly on Friday afternoon after hitting 38 degrees Celsius on Thursday. Mild heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and it may abate from some places over the country, the Met Office said in weather forecast. Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, it added.
