Lottery for admission to Port City schools held

The admission test (Lottery) for the admission of Pre-1 class of Bangladesh Mohila Samity Girls High School and College, one of the renowned schools in the port city was held on Saturday. A total of 2871 students applied for admission to 340 seats of Prep-1 Class of the school.
Thousands of guardians waited for admission of their children till 4 pm for the result of the lottery. The result is scheduled to be in the night at the notice board of Bangladesh Mohila Samity Girls High School and College. Meanwhile, the Executive Magistrate of the Chittagong District Administration Mohammed Forkan Elahi Anupam was present at the opening of the lottery yesterday morning.
Anwara Begum, the Principal of Bangladesh Mohila Samity Girls High School and College said, as per directive of the government we are arranging the lottery to admit 340 students at Prep-1 class. Executive Magistrate of the Chittagong District Administration Mohammad Forkan Elahi Anupam was present at the opening of the lottery.
In the mean time, the guardians who are waiting at the school ground said that it is very unfortunate that the admission of our children is depends of luck as the admission will be held by lottery.
Hosne Ara, a guardian said, “If test is taken for the admission, my child might be admitted. But, now, her future depends on luck. According to the sources, thousands of guardians and students are passing their days with anxiety and tension for admission in schools in the port city.
Thousands of students in Chittagong are waiting to admit at the nine government schools and some renowned non-government schools in the current month.
