Losing to Bangladesh not a ‘shock’: England’s Plunkett

BSS, Dhaka :
Bangladesh at least earned the respect from the rest of the cricket world, who looked to have ego problem to give them the due credit despite beating the top guns quite regularly.
But the magnitude of the Bangladesh’s performance in the first two matches is so high that no one now dares to term their defeat to Tigers as ‘shock’ or ‘upset’.
Firstly New Zealand senior batsman Ross Taylor admitted the fact before their encounter against Bangladesh and now England fast bowler Liam Plunkett echoed him.
Plunkett’s team will take on Bangladesh on Saturday at Cardiff where the Tigers didn’t loss any International match so far.
Plunkett said that they are aware of Bangladesh’s strength and added that they are ready for another test for their temperament.
With Bangladesh expecting to bring vocal support to Cardiff – and having got under England’s skin during their one-day series in 2016 – there is every chance of another tense affair.
“Pakistan are pretty good like that – they can get niggly,” Plunkett said in a press conference in Cardiff. The lanky fast bowler missed Trent Bridge match against Pakistan but is now expected to return against Bangladesh.
