The body of actress Nayar Sultana Lopa was buried again on Friday after re-autopsy.
But Razia Sultana, Lopa’s mother, has expressed doubts whether the ‘actual cause’ of her daughter’s death will be discovered after the re-autopsy.
The body was exhumed in the presence of an Executive Magistrate from the
Banani graveyard on Thursday following Razia’s petition.
The body was buried again at noon after the second round of postmortem at 9:00am in the Mitford Hospital on Friday, said Razia.
The medical board formed for the postmortem was headed by Sir Salimullah Medical College’s Forensic Department Head Palak Kumar Chakrabarty.
“A doctor of the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) was in the board. I have my doubts about the autopsy report of the DMCH. I’ve seen a DMCH teacher here too. So, I am not optimistic about finding something crucial this time too,” she said.
The body of Lopa, widely known for playing ‘Tuni’s character in Humayun Ahmed’s television drama – ‘Ei Shob Dinratri’, was found hanging with a ceiling fan at her in-law’s home at Gulshan on Oct 16.
