The BNP’s Long March towards Teesta Barrage in Nilphamari reached in Bogra on Tuesday afternoon. The Long March reached at the district at around 4.00 pm. The leaders and activists of the BNP are taking part in the Long March. The BNP’s Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir spoke at different wayside rallies on the occasions. Speaking on the occasion, Mirza Fakhrul said that the Awami League government has no bargaining capacity to sign the Teesta water treaty with India. Mirza Fakhrul, who is leading the Long March also said that the Awami League was not able to bargain with Teesta issue as the present government was not the government of Bangladesh’s people. The present government was busy to serve the purposes of India. At the first wayside rally held at Kaliakair on Tuesday morning, Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said: “Fair share of Teesta and other common rivers’ water is our right”.
