A press conference was arranged by the family members of a freedom fighter late Shafiqur Rahman at Chittagong Press Club auditorium yesterday morning against alleged false case against the son of the freedom fighter Giasuddin Sumon .
Wife of the freedom fighter Selina Rahman read out the written statement before the newsmen.
The press was told the FF late Shafiqur Rahman expired in 2003 leaving wife, 2 sons and one daughter and the both sons were staying in ME countries.
The younger son Giasuddin Sumon starts cable operator business after back from abroad in 2013 . A terrorist group of Akbar Shah Thana area stormed to his business centre and tried to snatch away the cable operator business and lasting beat him mercilessly who later was admitted Neurology deptt of Chittagong Medical Hospital .
The victim Sumon lodged a GD before the concerned police station on March 11 last. The written statement was told that Gias Sumon was arrested by Akbar thana police on August 29 last and sent to jail custody accusing him in a murder case of one Belal under same police station.
In the FIR of the murder case an accused named Sumon, son of Haroon Sowdagar Nol. Jhil of Akbar shah was the No.6 accused in that murder case whereas the son of a FF Gias summon , son of late FF Shafiqur Rahman is not the same accused, the press meet was told. Now the case forwarded to CID police for further investigation under CID inspector Aminur Rashid , press meet sources said .
The mother of victim Gias Sumon , Selina Rahman is a elderly women and she bursts into tears while reading the statement.
She urged upon the police commissioner, and other concerned authorities to relieve her son from a false case of Belal murder .
She further said the actual accused in the belal murder case is the son of one Haroon Sowadagar of East firoj shah colony and the her son Gias summon is the son of FF Shafiquir Rahman of Nasiaghona of Akbarshah thana.
