Located in the heart of Chitalmari, the Shaheed Minar of the upazila is in a dilapidated condition as no renovation work has been done for a long time. Front yard of the Shaheed Minar remains submerged in water almost all the year round. Pile of garbage is also seen when the water dries up during summer.
