Locals have caught three abductors and recovered arms and ammunitions and they have also rescued the abducted person from their possessions at Raghunathpur Bazer under Harinakundu upazila of the district on Friday.
At that time , the locals rescued a young man Hafez Saiful Islam Sabuj, son of a retired school teacher Khademul Islam.
The miscreants were Ferojur Rahman Soleman, son of Naopara village, Selim, son of Mohamad Shahjahan of Bhadalia village and Saidul Islam, son of Mansur Ali of Swastipur village in Kushtia Sadar.
Police Sub- inspector Manir Hossain said, a gang of miscreants at aboaut 10.00 AM abducted Hafez Saiful Islam from the local hospital intersection on a microbus Chatta metro 02-0863. An associate of Saiful witnessed the matter and informed local people to stop the microbus.
The people of Mandia Bazer stopped the bus. The miscreants opened a number of blank shots targeting the mass people. Later they nabbed three miscreants and the driver of the microbus with a gun at about 11.00 AM. The gun was owned by one of the abductors Ferojur Rahman Soleman, the police said. The abductors admitted that they abducted Saiful to collect ransom from the family.
Harinakundu police officer in charge Maaaahatab Uddin said, they are under process to file case in this connection with Harinakundu police.
Bullet hit body of unidentified young man found
A bullet hit body of an unidentified young man was found in a field of Hingerpara village under Harinakundu upazila in Jhenaidah on Friday morning. Police sent the body to Jhenaidah Sadar hospital for post mortem examination.
Harinakundu police officer in charge Mahatab Uddin when contacted said, acting on information, the police on Friday morning recovered the body of the young man from the Hingerpara, a bordering village between Chuadanga Sadar and Harinakundu upazila of Jhenaidah.
There was bullet like injury on the head of the deceased and his hands and legs were tied. The miscreants might leave the body after killing him out side of the upazila. Process for filing case was going on, the police said.
