Police recovered 34 machetes and 50 iron rods from a cottage at Chittagong University (CU) on Monday morning.
Acting on a tip-off, the university authorities with the assistance of Hathazari police conducted a drive at Munaf cottage around 10:30am and recovered machetes and iron rods in an abandoned condition, said CU assistant proctor Liton Mitra.
None was arrested during the drive, he added.
