A financing agreement for US$375 million has been signed at the Economic Relations Division (ERD), Dhaka between the Government of Bangladesh and International Development Association (IDA) to implement the Multipurpose Disaster Shelter Project (MDSP) on Monday 26 January, 2015.
The loan will be utilized to reduce the vulnerability of the coastal population in 74 upazilas of 9 costal districts (Barisal, Bhola, Patuakhali, Pirojpur, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Feni, Laksmipur & Noakhali) of Bangladesh to natural disasters.
