Namaz-e-Janaza of BNP leader and former Deputy Speaker Engineer LK Siddiqui will be held in front of BNP central office in Naya Paltan area at 8 am today.
BNP Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi confirmed the news saying, “Another namaz-e-janza will be held at South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad (parliament) at 9:30am on the day.”
BNP vice-chairman LK Siddiqui, also former water resources minister, died at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on Saturday at the age of 75.
LK Siddiqui was elected Member of Parliament (MP) in 1979, 1991, 1996 and 2001 from Chittagong-4 (Sitakunda) constituency.
He will be laid to eternal rest at his family graveyard in Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong today after Namaz-e-Janaza at Jamiatul Falah Mosque, Chattagram Ma O Shishu Hospital and his native village, Rizvi said.
