Popular singer of present generation Sania Sultana Liza rendered some popular songs of legendary singer late Shahnaz Rahmatullah to pay tribute to her. Liza rendered these songs for Channel i’s a special musical programme on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. Recording of the programme titled Sagorer Teer Theke was done at Channel i’s studio last week.
In case of patriotic songs, Shahnaz Rahmatullah was
a legendary and popular singer among the music-lovers. She was also a respected singer to all. To pay tribute to her, Liza rendered songs Je chhilo drishtir simanai, Sagorer teer theke, Khola janalai cheye dekhi tumi aschho, Parina bhule jete, Tomar agune porano ei duti chokh, Amito aamar golpo bolechhi, and Duti ankhi duti tara in the Eid special programme.
While talking about rendering these songs in the programme Liza said, “I have tried to render some songs, which were basically rendered by Shahnaz Rahmatullah and also got popularity among all, of Shahnaz Rahmatullah Madam to pay tribute to her in Eid special programme. She got huge popularity and respect from all for her rendered songs. In fact, in her voice, patriotic songs got different dimensions. To pay tribute to this legendary singer, I tried to render these songs. I have tried my level best to render these songs properly. However, if there is any mistake, please forgive me. One Shahnaz Rahmatullah will alive forever among us for her songs.”
Meanwhile, Liza and Belal rendered a duet song Pakhi has already viewed by 1 crore viewers within three months. Liza is very much excited in this regard. However, Liza and Yousuf Ahmed Khan rendered a song titled Golaper paprite duti haat will be aired on BTV’s Eid special programme Smritie Surovi Gaan-e Gaan-e. Munshi Wadud wrote lyrics of the song, while Sheikh Sadi Khan composed its music. Rafiqul Alam and Abida Sultana were original singers of this song, Liza also said.
