Popular singer of present time Sania Sultana Liza has already impressed the audience by virtue of her rendering style and stage performance. For this reason, she has to engage with different shows in and outside the country round the year. She has to give more time to music, so she cannot manage time to play her favourite game, badminton. If she concentrates to this game she could get the opportunity to play badminton in SAAF Games which is scheduled to be held in December 2019. But this could not be happened now. Liza’s coach Maruf Alam, who has recently completed Level-2 in coaching of badminton from Malaysia, confessed the matter yesterday. In badminton, any coach’s this achievement is treated as the highest level of achievement in the international level.
Liza feels proud of her coach. She said, “I practiced under Maruf Bhai for six months. I made myself competent to play badminton under his coaching. But it is really tough to play and rendering song in parallel. Otherwise I tried to enter the badminton team for upcoming SAAF Games and I believe I could get the chance. I really feel proud for Maruf Bhai for completing his level-2 coaching course. It is a great achievement at international level in coaching of badminton. I wish his success.”
Maruf Alam said, “Liza is an outstanding badminton player. If she tried she could get success in this game. But she loves music. She has already built up her career in music but I believe in future we will get her in this game.”
Maruf Alam is now engaged with Bangladesh National Badminton Team to prepare the players for upcoming SAAF Games, which will be held in Nepal in December. From 1994 Maruf has been playing badminton professionally. He has been working as coach of National Badminton Team since 2010.
