Law Minister Anisul Huq called upon the members of Bangladesh Lions Club to take side of helpless people of society.
He made the call while addressing the 22nd annual conference of Bangladesh Lions Club (Lions District 315A1) as chief gust at a city hotel on Thursday morning.
“You are responsible partners of society. No development is possible, no challenge can be tackled without your help. So, I would like to call upon you to help the helpless,” the minister said.
He added that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had started the trend of overall development in the country, which is being maintained by his worthy daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Presided over by Lion Kolpona Rajiuddin, the conference was attended by former president of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Qazi Akram Uddin Ahmed and Sheikh Kabir Hossain, among others.
